Sorry didn't happen in GT40, but happened in a Cobra.
My brother got pulled over for speeding, I was the passenger. And the police officer walked to the front of the Cobra to get license plate number. We had no front plate mounted. He just scratched his head and then walked to the back. When he came back to the cockpit he didn't say a word about not having a front plate. It was so funny. I currently have plate mounted in air intake. Not real happy about it. Been thinking about removing it and just cop a fine if caught. Pretty popular on Cobras to have swinging number plates.

Pat, I will be ordering a set of those Lite N Boltz things. Summit Racing stock them, US$22 for polished dome head ones. I'll order 2 sets, 1 for spare.
