Not picking on you or anyone else, but you'll need to define "showcar quality". When this phrase is used in the US it almost universally means one thing - a custom "one off" car with supreme attention to detail. You can't get this sort of showcar quality for the money CAV or Superformance charge, otherwise, they'd be losing cash.

I suppose it all depends on the definition of "showcar quality". If you want the modern US definition of "showcar quality" then be ready to build a one-off car on your own, or send a lot of money to a firm well-known for building such pieces.

Things have really gotten out of hand on the show car circuit with respect to quality, money, and time spent.
