Absolutely James.
IMHO the 'cold box' will also concentrate any fire extinguisher in the 'plenum chamber' area though I would imagine any larger fuel leaks (apart from spitting webers) would get past down through the box.
Ever thought how long it would take you to react,act, and get out?
