| Re: Steves scratch KVA The real reason ,as I have been reliably informed ... but argued by many is to allow access for the spotwelder....the reach of the tongs on a spot welder is somewhat limited and the flanged holes provide a certain amount of stiffness but it reduces the length required for the spotwelder tongs.
I am sure that some replica chassis add them for asthetic purposes to recreate the original look and feel,
I decided that a "sealed" chassis would be of greater benefit to our customers that want to drive their cars in any weather.
You just gotta love the GT40.....and drive them as much as you can.
