Not sure what options SPF offers but remember that the original style handbrake under the dash is not legal most places as all it did was apply the master cylinders to lock the calipers. Most regulations call for the "emergency brake/parking brake" to be a separate system. SPF/Hi-Tech use rear calipers with built in mechanical parking brake activation that requires a considerable leverage force from an activating handle, I don't think you could do that from the dash, the lever forces would be high and the activation cables would be difficult to package and route.

There must be some tradeoffs to make the vehicles road legal and this seems to be one of them.
