UK alternator

A question to UK builders - I am looking for an alternator to use which is smaller than the usual US ones. I have a Summit V8 Ford alternator, but it is too long. It is too long by about 5mm, but 5mm offset on the belt is too much. This is with the back of the alternator body hard up against the head, and I haven't room to move it further out to avoid the head. I Would guess something like the classic Lucas ACR alternators would be shorter but haven't got one to hand to check. This alternator is about 173mm from centre of belt to rear of casing, so I am looking for something about 165mm or less.
The mountings on this alternator are 180 degrees apart, but I would prefer about 120 degrees.
Can anyone recommend a specific part number, or specific application, or point me to an alternator catalogue?
Anyone interested in this alternator? It is 100Amp
Thanks very much
