| Re: F1 2007 Thursday, 12 July 2007 The relationship between Indianapolis Motor Speedway and F1 came to an end today when Tony George and Bernie Ecclestone could not reach an agreement on the sanctioning fee to continue hosting the USA GP at the brickyard.
Ron Green, spokesman for the track, said both parties were leaving the door open for possible future events.
This leaves the USA without a F1 Grand Prix in the future as other attempts have failed to host the event at venues such as Long Beach, Watkins Glen and Phoenix.
Ecclestone has looked into running a race in Las Vegas, but no agreement has been announced. |
