OK Paulo, stand by to be really confused.

427 cubic inch = 6997.249 cubic centimeters ( 427 x 16.387 ) or near enough to 7 liter's.
Now the actual capacity of one cylinder is nearly 875cc ( 53.75 cu in )

These numbers are not the actual size due to Fords market policy of the time, The 427 was actually 425 cu in and the 428 was actually 427 cu in.

You may be thinking of the Ferrari system where each model number represents the actual swept volume of one cylinder .eg TR500 has 500cc per cyl ( 4cyls = 2000cc or 2 liter ), TR250 has 250cc per cyl ( 12 cyls = 3000cc or 3 liter )
