thanks for the replies. i'll check w/ PBOC when i run with them next month at Sebring. i currently run in the Solo/Instructor group which requires "point-by" passing on straights only. they also have a Super Solo run group that allows passing anywhere w/out a point-by. it is a step toward W2W but not quite as aggressive as most cars are street driven. Rpll bars, 5 or 6-pt harnesses and a fire bottle are required. i would like to move in this group before deciding if i want to go back to W2W. i plan to build the car to the requirements of W2W even if i don't end up running there. Some extra safety equipment cannot be a bad thing. i will do some homework and check w/ several sanctioning organizations before building so that i know that my car will have a place to run when i finish.
