I'm being fed a story that the original X-1, the open GT40, chassis No.110, has surfaced in the UK. It is said to have been found when land in East London was being cleared for the 2012 Olympic building program, in a disused lock-up garage.
The assertion goes with some pics, of the restored car and of the original. See:
