Has anyone had any experience with the 997 6 speed. It's manufactured in Japan and is supposed to be bulletproof.

I'm wondering why I haven't seen more about it. Is it too new? I also heard it's not that expensive over the counter from Porsche. Rumor control? anyone? Adapters?
