They had a very large offer to buy the track and turn it into a golf course and condos.
RIP Bridgehampton. 
This used to be an incredible race track. Now it's 18 holes of expensive boredom. (of which there are already countless examples on Long Island already) One interesting thing though - apparently there is no dress code. You pay gobs of money to join, but you can play in ripped jeans and a t-shirt if you want.
