I'd say it's more than a short term issue, if someone has had the time to develop an all new transaxle, test it, bring it to market, start to sell it and the market is STILL waiting like it is. Shelby developed the aluminum 427 for just such an issue, Superformance should work on this issue to increase their market share. Having a dealer network with cars available now and motors in a few weeks, doesn't really help with a main part on backorder for a year
