Anyone looking ? 1043 on John Allen's site

I remember seeing it in the early 80's. It was white then with a red stripe. I think I have some pictures somewhere. It was very nice looking...

The car is for sale by Colin Comer, who is a specialist in muscle cars and high-performance domestic vehicles. He writes for SCM as well, in addition to buying and selling some of the best cars, he also comes up with very entertaining columns. If you haven't read SCM, it's well worth looking at. Of course it's nothing but cars from the front page to the back, which for most of us is just perfect.

The writeup on the car on Colin's web site is also very complete, with good photos, etc. As a good original documented car that has never had to be taken apart and seems to have been spared any damage, this car is going to fetch a lot of money even in this climate. It doesn't have major race history, but very good original GT40s are thin on the ground.

I believe it has been for sale for a rather long time, months if not years... apparently he's not interested in just giving it away.

The Youtube video is great...

Al, I can't bring up the Video. I was there at Lime Rock '05 and saw the car run. If I remember correctly, the car had a Trans problem.

Bill, I tried to get a direct link but it didn't work, so do this. First scan over the green text starting from the first word and move down to the second line with the left mouse button held down, then release.Click right mouse button and scroll down to copy and click. Then left click on your browser search box followed by a right click and scroll to paste. Then hit enter on keyboard. This will bring up the web site location in the browser.Click on the header and video will come up and play.
Condensed version is copy green text and paste it on browser;enter and click on website when it is displayed.
Hope I see you at Lime Rock this September. May have camper there and visitors are welcome but space will be limited. A.J.
