Bobs GTD

Jimmy,
As soon as my other pair of rotors gets in I'll finish the front and then just wait for spring to get here and then have tons of fun!!! And I am just a little jealous that you can drive your car while mine is on jack stands for 6 months!
Thanks,
Bob

Just a few more pics of the rear brake set up completed
Bob

that looks good, does such non hydraulic? system works any 'good' is it just cable and some mechanism, or is there some sort hydraulic system in that park brake thing?

Ha All,
Well I'm still waiting for my front rotors, but as long as the car was apart and it's 5 deg. Fer. here in Wisconsin i took the opportunity to rework the rear suspension and have a few parts anodized in the process. From the attached pictures you can see the newly blue anodized parts and as far as the suspension after reading the 3 part artical on sorting out the rear suspension on the GTD I took it upon myself to measure every thing I could on mine then draw it up on auto cad then make the appropriate corrections needed. This is what I came up with that seems to work,I still need to get it out on the road this spring and test it out and then yes to the track now that I'm not worried about the brakes anymore. Lets hope it all works out !!!
Thanks,
Bob

WOW Bob, you really have been staying busy. Car and brakes are looking top drawer. Pity you can't get out there and give those brakes a work out. Not trying to rub it in (well maybe just a little) but we've ejoyed some breathtaking weather as late. CAV # 82 has been to a few car shows and taken a few prizes too. This is our time of the year for shows. By May its all over except for the sweating and HUGE humidity! Hate it!

Jimmy,
Glad to see your having fun with your car and yes I am jealous ,
can't wait for spring here that's our time for great weather in Wisconsin in between the rain that is. keep having fun with your 40.
talk to you soon,
Bob

Ha All,
Finally after 2 months of waiting my front rotors are on the car the brakes are bled thanks to the help of my wife, so now I wait for spring. Here are the pictures of the front brakes finished.
See Ya,
Bob

Ha All,
Hopefully this is the last thing to do before I can get out there and get some wheel time on the forty. I added a hidden audio system to the car, I know some of you are biting your teeth right now saying why would you put a stereo in a Gt 40 well I like music! that's all.
See Ya,
Bob

Hi Bob

What make is that stereo please? All the after market stereos I can find are pretty ugly with many flashing lights etc. Is it an OEM stereo?

I know the soundtrack of a GT40 will be pretty amazing. But there's always going to be a time when you're stuck in traffic and a bit of music / radio would be nice :).

Ha All,
Something I've been meaning to do, I got a picture of my old car from the gentleman I sold it to and this is what it looks like now.

Tractor boy,
you know thats a real good question in one way I miss it a lot it was a fun car to drive, being right hand drive. and it got looks any where you went but on the other hand it was always a major production just to take it out for a spin. My new ride is just as much fun and gets just as many looks as the 40 did no offence guys
