1965 GT40 Originals

I'm interested in the stories of the remaining original 1965 GT40s, and I'm trying to track down where they are today. My understanding is that the only original 1965 GT40 chassis left in existence are numbers 108, 109, and 111. Is this true?

I also know that the 108 was recently sold for just under $7m, but I haven't really been able to find any informatoin on the current whereabouts of 109 or 111. I would really appreciate any information anyone is able to give. Thank you!

I have a note that in January 2007 109 was with Dean Jefferies and there's reference to 111 here http://www.gt40s.com/forum/original-gt40s/37538-gt40-roadsters-how-many.html (this thread also refers to 109) - I think there are other threads about it since apparently it was found during the building of the Olympic Park in London and rebuilt and then sold to the Silva brothers - there's also a replica floating about in Europe I believe

No.

Take a look at the chassis numbers in Ronnie Spain's book. In addition to the prototypes you cite, there were a bunch of production cars built in 1965.

GT109 was at pebble beach in August, there are pics of the car with other GT's at the event on this forum.

Are you just interested in the 1965 Ford GT Roadsters because that's all the chassis number you have quoted? All were the pre-production numbers GT/108, GT/109 and GT/111 all despatched in March 1965.
GT/108 Never raced test car
GT/109 Raced at 1965 Le Mans Number 15 Dean Jefferies car
GT/111 was the one found in the Olympia Park this was the ex 1965 Le Mans Trials and Targa Florio There were lots of GT40P (production) chassised cars despatched in 1965 both small block GT40's and MKII And of course the GT40 got Homolagated for racing in 1965

I know the last roadster GT/112 still exists.
