Are there any uk sources for Dorman 689-103 cam synch or other EFI distributor stub for 302 SBF?

$48.97 + 8.265% tax from Summit Racing and I'm just down the road from the Sparks NV store. Shoot me a PM and I'll pick one up and mail to you if you cannot get it local in the UK. You can pay me via equivalent GBP deposit into Lloyds account or Paypal.

Hi Dave,
Are looking for a cam sync sensor, because your ECU needs the input signal or it a convenient way of removing the distributor whilst still retaining the oil pump drive from the camshaft?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
On the system I’ve used it relies on the crank & TPS signal only for mapping. I then converted my old distributor to the following photo<o:p></o:p>

Is this something I could do for your installation?<o:p></o:p>

Hi Andy, thanks, it was just a convenient way of maintaining oil pump drive. I would have converted my original distributor except that it is in poor condition. I have a relatively new Mallory Unilite, but I would be reluctant to chop it.
A second hand distributor is an option.
For your system, I guess that you just need a distributor shaft? It looks like you have put ball bearings in a machined boss so my old distributor shaft might do it, with a new gear as the old one is trashed.

Hi Julian, thanks for your kind offer, I will let you know if I want to do that.

Make sure whatever you choose that the distributor gear is compatible with your camshaft.
Putting an iron distributor gear on a steel cam will be a recipe for disaster. Similarly a steel distributor gear against an iron cam.

Randy, thanks, mine is an Edelbrock 2222 camshaft which is steel. I made sure the distributor gear was also. This is worth repeating a million times if it saves one person from a bad experience :)

Hi Dave,
your're correct in your assumptions and only the shaft and a suitable drive gear is required for this conversion.

I ended by ordering a cam synch from Summit, together with a fuel solenoid switching valve for my tank return. I will post pictures in my main thread.
