So all crime and/or criminals are created equal.

So, instead of robbing a bank, what if your family was poor and the bulk of your family income goes to rent, utilities and medicine. And what if your child stole a loaf of bread from the market, so your child could feed you and your family, who were literally starving. Crime? Yes, but should the police put your child into Child Protective Services and/or prosecute them for shoplifting?

I guess for me, all crime isn't same. According to a recent poll, 15% of country want these kids deported. And Scott and Al are part of that 15%. And that's a bummer IMO.

What don't you understand about breaking the law? Coming into the US illegally is against the law. From your prospective, I can break laws if I reach a certain criteria. If I'm poor, my rent utilities and medicine are high and I'm hungry. Read that a few times, seriously? Did you really just say that?

Yes, I did. You can either have a heart or not. Even Trump, somebody's "hero" here, has a heart. At least he says he does. Not that he always tells the truth though.

The problem with "having a heart" where our immigration laws/policies are concerned is that, if an exception/exemption is made for ONE special interest group, as soon as that exemption/exception becomes law there'll be ANOTHER group who says, "Well - what about US???"...and then another...and another...and ANOTHER. It'll never end.

Like I said, we either have AND ENFORCE our borders and immigration laws or we don't. If we DON'T - the USA will cease to exist.

It's too darned close to that point now 'far as I'm concerned.

G'night, All.

I thought they were more what you call guidelines than rules

I thought we had an agreement? I would make sure to never visit the Cobra forum since In have no intention of owning or discussing Cobra's and you were going to vacate yourself from the GT40 forum since you have no intention of owning or contributing anything related to GT40s? You're clearly here just to spew political tripe and disparage others who don't hold your political views. You should be shown the exit sir.

Uh...no. Laws are not "guidelines". "Guidelines" amount to suggestions...recommendations, instructions, directions, advice. Me thinks therein lies the root of your problem!

Uuggg. Curiosity begs me to view this forum every now and then, but the direction this is turning makes me wish I had no curiosity at all.

Why don't you go your local park and have a heart for homeless vets and other homeless. Talk is cheap. Most liberals I know like to talk about helping the downtrodden but can't quite get the pen to work in their checkbook. How about we help our own? And yes I do contribute yo the local Rescue Mission monthly.

Good on ya, Al!

Last year I used my pen and checkbook to fund two $500.00 scholarships for "underprivileged" graduating high school seniors who would not have been able to attend trade school or college. This year I will increase it to three.

That's a significant chunk of money for someone who works for a teacher's salary.

Talk is cheap...actions count.

Cheers!

Good job Doug. We do too little for our own as a country. Tucson, given the weather is a Meca for the homeless.

Ordinarily I'd post something like this on the "Jokes" thread...'cause it's supposed to be taken as 'humor'...but:

Only in America....

Black people who were never slaves are fighting white people who were never Nazis over confederate statues erected by democrats because democrats can't stand their own history anymore...and somehow it's Trump's fault?

Interesting.

The king wanted to go fishing, and he asked the royal weather forecaster the forecast for the next few hours. The palace meteorologist assured him that there was no chance of rain.

So the king and the queen went fishing. On the way he met a man with a fishing pole riding on a donkey, and he asked the man if the fish were biting.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, you should return to the palace! In just a short time I expect a huge rain storm."

The king replied: "I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an educated and experienced professional. Besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him."

So the king continued on his way. However, in a short time a torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally soaked.

Furious, the king returned to the palace and gave the order to fire the meteorologist. Then he summoned the fisherman and offered him the prestigious position of royal forecaster.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I obtain my information from my donkey. If I see my donkey's ears drooping, it means with certainty that... it will rain."

So the king hired the donkey.

And thus began the practice of hiring dumb asses to work in influential positions of government. The practice is unbroken to this date.

...which wasn't in 'quotes'...so...

I can't believe you're grinding me about not using quotes on a very famous line from a Johnny Depp movie, which they made into a ride at Disney parks.

Either you get the humor or you don't. So, whatever. :bash:

LOL, Larry... perhaps I was wrong about your sense of humor

Voter fraud is just fake news. And any voter fraud that does exist is statistically immaterial. More Trump nonsense to justify he lost the popular vote.

And when did the 15th amendment (right to vote) have anything in it about a "well regulated militia."

Uhhh, Trump didn't need the popular. that is a dead horse.
