i understand your point. I have not heard of any failures from scott's 01e's.
I'll post if i have trouble with mine. They do shift well, and i like the overdrive. It behaves well in slow traffic. I guess if you constantly pound on anything it will break. Scott uses an 01e from a turbo deisel with heavier gears. The 016 is not as strong and many gt40's use them.
