Claude Nahum’s car. Raced by him regularly for a long time. I have seen it race at the Le Mans Classic a few times. He maintained it in original spec and condition even though it was raced hard.

Cheers

Only $12M?

Shame to see it be sold, Claude gave me the the privilege of sitting in the car at Goodwood FOS one year when Dan G was meant to drive it. An accident on his motorbike in California prevented him operating the clutch. I questioned why DG would not be able to operate the clutch - hence the chance to find out. The clutch was like an on/off switch and you needed weightlifters leg muscles to operate it! Respect!
Thanks Claude, a true Gent!

Here are some pics of the car at Le Mans Classic back in 2008. Also a pic of Claude with the car in 2016, when he was kind enough to pose with the car for the photo. Claude is always friendly and approachable and generous with his time. He also has a Mk1 (now back in Strathaven livery) and he explained his impressions on the difference in driving the Mk1 and Mk2 and why he takes the Mk2 to Le Mans. It is always a pleasure to meet him and in many ways he is the ultimate GT40 enthusiast. This is a great, historic car and is regularly raced and maintained to an immaculate standard and not the usual museum piece.

Cheers
Mike

Couldn't agree more Mike about Mr. Nahum. Met him at Amelia Island. A true understated gent who loves all things GT 40.

I did not previously notice the vent windows within the door windows rest into recessed openings. Are these original to MKIIs or MKIIbs?
