Well All,
Hershal has counted the donations that came in and I'm happy to say that we got over $1150 USD from donations total with sources being both private and from the UK GT40 clubs. Thanks for all the donations, that gives us enough money to pay for the forum for a little over one year!
I appreciate all the support and help, that makes things a lot easier.
Now, does anyone here have experience in using different Forum software? I wish to switch over and I think someone offered some expertise in this area a long time ago. I can provide the passwords for the site and if someone can come up with the time we can move it over to something much more functional. Anyone?

IMHO the software that allows you to browse and post an image is the way to go. (ALA FerrariChat.com)

Image posting is allowed, the topic is covered more than a few times on the site.
As for posting images people have to realize that the image most be hosted somewhere on the web to link to, at the moment we don't host images at GT40s.com. If you've got images on any website you'll have no troubles.

Donations Update!
I just got back from some travels and received all the checks that Hershal had collected - thanks for all the support!!
We received over $1400 in donations total (a few more came in) from indivduals, the GTD GT40 Club, the GT40 Enthusiasts Club, and ERA Replicas. Thanks for all the help and support, I think we've got enough to last well over a year!
I still need help on the software side of things with getting more functionality on the forum. Anyone know a good forum package, commerical or free, it doesn't really matter?

What package does clubcobra.com use? Is that worth looking at? I do like the e-mail notification and image hosting. Another site that I think has good hosting software is www.avsforum.com | |
