Books on GT40s

I notice that www.millhousebooks.com have the following books in their current sale:
Ford versus Ferrari (Pritchard)
The Inside Story of the Fastest Fords (Ludvigsen)
Anybody have any comments about these books? Are they worth adding to the collection?
Thanks.
Geoff.

Hi Goeff

I think I have all the books in my collection and have gained information from them all, however 'The Inside Story of the Fastest Fords (Ludvigsen)" was my first book on the GT40 and is certainly worth putting in your Christmas List it is full of early photo's with excellent detail.
I have a friend that has recently sold his GT40 and said if anyone is interested he would like to sell the GT40 Bible "The Ford That Beat Farrari" By John Allen and Gordon Jones. As you probably know this book is out of print and can never be reissued, as all the plates are destroyed. It is without doubt the best of all the books on the GT40, He is asking £300 for it and it is in excellent condition.
I paid £350 for my copy over a year ago and they usually sell for £400 plus.
Regards

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the offer of THE book! Luckily, between 1978 and 1995 I owned a shop specialising in models and motoring books, and salted a copy away at cost.

Unfortunately, the shop closed down, and I had a brainstorm and sold almost all of my own collection off to dealers at the first Goodwood Festival.

Another topic altogether: There have been comments on the Forum that the 2003 Festival may have a substantial collection of GT40s present. Does anybody know any more about this?
