Gelcoat

Does anyone know what color gelcoat the original bodies were made with? white? black? grey?

Bob, that sounds like the way Ford would do it... not the guys in England. If they were layed up at Specialized Mouldings, I would think they would have used gelcoat. Back then, they did the best glass work there was. I have less trouble with the whole process using a gelcoat. But now with the high build primers using hardeners, the finshing of a non-gelcoated surface isn't all that hard to do.
