That's not true. You've got mail.

Re: How Hard is it?

Gentlemen, I hang out on this Forum to learn things, find out about parts for my car, and enjoy the company of like-minded folks. One of the things I value here is the civility of everyone involved. That civility has declined noticeably in recent days, on this thread in particular.
Meat, or Sean, whoever you are, it seems that wherever you hang out, arguments begin. Whether you are right about specific issues is not relevant; what is relevant to me is that you are making other people unhappy with the way you address them. I feel strongly that if you can't learn to discuss things in a civil way you shouldn't be allowed to post items here.
I don't come here to watch people quarrel and be mean to one another; there's far too much of that in the world as it is. I feel strongly that even more than the interesting things about cars posted here the real value of this forum is its' fellowship. I am not comfortable reading the posts of folks who feel that their opinions and airing them is so essential that they are willing to trample on everyone else to do it.
Let's face it, folks, this is a hobby for most of us. (no disrespect to Robert and Gordon and Bob and other folks who are in it as a living, with which I wish them very well indeed) NOTHING being discussed here is worth hurting folks' feelings over. Good manners are one of those things you take for granted until they are gone. Sean, please learn some manners and treat the people on this forum as if they mattered to you- or go somewhere else.

Let's indeed do cut to the chase. With all due respect, John, Mark Worthington has attacked me on more than one occasion, and never for what I've said, but for what he imagines I've said. Maybe you're right, may there's little man complex or some wacked out kind of penis envy on his part. But the bottom line is, if I say one thing about one topic in one post and something else about something else in a different post, taking two different posts about two different things and combining them to come up with a woefully inadequate attack against me is hardly ME attacking someone or rubbing them the wrong way.

Before you decide that I'm the attacker, remember that the mirror is a great place to start when it comes to figuring out where the problem may lay. I don't attack people. I respond to attacks. Sometimes I over-respond (who am I kidding, I always over-respond!), and while that may be an issue with me, the bottom line is that I generally don't start things.

Look at my post, and look at where it's situated. Did I accuse anyone of creating vaporware? NoOOoo. Did I accuse anyone of being blind an narrow minded? NoOOoo. Did I accuse anyone of being deluded or manic? NoOOoo. But that was all said to me...And I responded to it (quite elloquently, too!).

All personal attacks directed at me.

"Grow up and be cool" is a two-way street, John. Before you say "Meat's attacking someone" do this: scroll up first; it's a pretty safe bet that someone in a prior post said something derrogatory about me or others. If you treat me and others nice, there's an excellent chance that you're not going to find me castrating you in a literary way in a future post. If you can't treat others - including me - with a modicum of civility, then you'll not get any from me. Capisce?

Your pal,
Meat.
