J-What,

Welcome aboard!

Please fill us in on your car. We'll

assume that it's an original, but which

one? History? Some photos perhaps?

Re: Mk 4 parts

I believe we are the only people to have built a new Mk 4. How much of an original car do you need to start with in order to consider it an original? So, if 1 and 2 are missing? Or is it 13? Doesn't really matter to me. I am vintage racing the car and I need spare parts for it an the 2 others we are building. Always can use the help.

J What?,

Welcome to the forum. Do you have a photo to share? I love the MKIV (original or replica).

Have fun!

Re: Mk 4 parts

J, did you by any chance have the red Mk IV at Elkhart last July? If so, I was one of the guys who brought Phil Remington over to chat. I have some video of him signing your car...we were all bummed that it was unable to race that weekend. It's a beautiful car, which I hope you will have out racing this summer--

Re: Mk 4 parts

Yes that was me with my sick car. I welded 1st gear onto the main shaft, twice!! It looks like a clearance issue in the T44. I am looking for someone who knows toploaders and races, who can measure it for clearances. It's together now but I am a little gun shy.

Re: Mk 4 parts

J, David Kee has been doing a huge business for the Cobra crowd (real and replica; he does the toploaders for the "Flip Top" Cobra, among others) and gets nothing but praise for his work and customer service. www.4speedtoploaders.com
