Rep Power: 12 | UK Dream MachineTV Series There is a new series starting on channel five on Monday 10th March at 8.00pm and will run for ten weeks. It is called Dream Machine and is introduced by Mark Evans who will build a Pilgrim Sumo and L&B Porsche Speedster as well as rebuild a VW Beetle, MGB Roadster, Ferrari 308 etc. It is a half hour programme but midway through the series there is a one hour special featuring the build of a CAV Ford GT40 replica. Co presenter Amanda Stretton will be driving various cars which should include the footage taken at Le Mans last year where she drove various '40s including the Roaring Forties of Robert Logan.

photo of Robert Logan and Amanda Stretton at Le Mans 2002 this along with Enthusiast club member interviews will be in the program. I took this photo just before Amanda test drove Robert's MK11 for the program, (She was pregnant at the time) I think Robert needed the drink to calm his nerves,

" Mark Evans and a team of mechanics get to work on a replica of legendary Le Mans 24-Hour Race winner the Ford GT40, which viewers are then offered the chance to win"
Why am I telling you this when it is reducing the chances of me winning! |

Well, that was the best GT40 show on TV ever.
(not just because I was in it for 15 seconds)
My congratulations to the Dream Machine crew.
I am totally green about the guy that has the original GT40 and the F1 Mclaren, boy life must be hard life, imagine having to choose which one to take to work.
Decisions, decisions.
Robert Logan Film Star, GT40 owner/builder and one "cool dude"
For all you guys that missed this GT40 TV fest you could try to get a coppy on video.
Now back to the phone, to win that car.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: UK Dream MachineTV Series Program was good and enjoyable. I enjoyed seeing the Enthusiasts club trip to Le Mans. I am missing out on a good trip by the looks of things. Serious sideburns Robert! And the CAV looked good too. Interesting solution to the spigot bearing conumdrum. How many of us have had that same problem? Whoever wins that, post here and let us all know. You're one lucky guy or gal.
Malcolm
PS Not entering as if I won (slim chance but....) which car would I choose? |

Wish I had met you ten years ago Frank when I was just starting out. At that price I would have gladly paid for both yours and mine !! |

I think you misheard or didn't recognise the fellow whose car was a £15K deal. It wasn't Frank Catt. Unless my eyes and ears have failed me completely!! I didn't recognise the chap whose car it was but I am sure Chris Melia can enlighten you to the details.
I doubt very many quality replica 40's in the UK will be as low as £15K nowadays to build unless you are an amazingly good fabricator in all materials.

Can anyone identify the person who pulled the gearbox out of the car?
