Rep Power: 26 | 17 Inch BRM copys While I was down in LA area a few weeks ago I stopped in to talk to Phil Schmit at PS engineering. I wanted to ask him if the BRM knockoffs he make are available in 17 inch sizes. We talked awile and he asked me to call him back when I got home. I just called him this last week and he agreed to make me a set of 17 inch wheels. We agreed on a price of $2400 for the set including the hub adapters and knock on spinners. I asked him if it would be ok to put this on this forum and he agreed. He said it would take a couple of months to change the casting of the centers so I'll update this as I get more information. Rep Power: 26 | Re: 17 Inch BRM copys It might be of help for those that want more infomation to write Phil at:
PS Engineering
2675 Skypark Dr. #102
Torrance CA. 90505
PS: I will let him know that there is an interest in this from a few people. I plan to talk with him about once a month on this project. Depending on the progress I will ask about a list of people or how and when he might want to proceed. I should say at this point that I have no busness interest, other than my order, with Phil or PS Engineering.

Rep Power: 15 | Re: 17 Inch BRM copys I am glad Phil finally decided to produce the BRM in 17". I've been asking him to do that for over a year. I'm glad I didn't buy wheels yet. Put my name on the list of those interested in buying a set. |

Does that mean PS Engineering makes a 15" BRM wheel? Please let me know. I can't seem to get through to him using the number you provided and I can't find him on the internet.
Thanks for you help. |

Rep Power: 12 | Re: 17 Inch BRM copys Bob, I have put myself in the cue with Howard for a set of P & S wheels. However it may be of help if you could provide other forum members with some additional information.
- Are the wheels five pin drive or six?
- Are the offsets fixed? If so, what are they? Can the offset be varied by machining the back of the wheel?
- Can they be purchased without the pin holes drilled?
Thanks
Say hi to Joe for me

Rep Power: 26 | Re: 17 Inch BRM copys I spoke to Phil last friday 6-7-03 and the 17" BRM project is still on track for completion this summer. I am not sure how to order a different backspaceing/offset or a lug nut type wheel. I have ordered pin drive(5pin trigo) types drilled to fit a GTD. Phil has started a file on this order and has begun putting others requests, letters of interest in it. You might want to review this thread for his address/ phone number and get in touch with him directly. I will update this thread about once a month or as I have some more information. |
