Can Anyone Identify This GT40..

Hello!

Nice forum you have here!

My father just emailed these pics of a GT40 build in progress here in Syracuse, NY. Any ideas who's kit it is? It's a friend of a friend of may father's and I am trying to get details:

Thanks!

Phil

Phil,

This looks to me like an ASPP Fiero-based car. Not sure though...

Re: Can Anyone Identify This GT40..

Some nice details on the car suggest it may not be an ASPP Fiero. I see roof vents, door guides on the roof, front jack pads, and MKII body styling. I thought it may even be an ERA except that it appears to have left-hand steering, which I don't think they offer on their MKII replica. The size of the car appears to be correct also.

Got the answer, it is an ERA. Bob Putnam (of ERA) has claimed it as thier's:

It looks a bit naked without the snorkel scoops. Did any MKII's come without these scoops?

Have fun!
