I know this is off topic, as it is not a GT40 replica......
....BUT I think it is worth taking a look at, as someone has put an enormous amount of work into this.
Jim said it best...amazing! Thanks for the chronological photos. If I remember right, that car was in 1955 and undefeated that year (please correct me if I'm wrong on on this).
I think the very first version of thew SLR wasa in 53 or 54. Being a Mercedes guy, I should know this stuff, but I've always had a tough time with remembering event dates.
I do believe that 55 was the year of the big accident which caused MBZ to withdraw from competing again until the mid eighties.
