"5-speed synchro box, ZF transaxle model 5DS-25-2
This gearbox has a custom-made sequential shifting mechanism that is pneumatically operated and computer controlled."
Great idea, but that box would need to be modified due
to it's overall length. It would never fit in a 40 as is.
Was there any mention of how much $$$ for all the sequential goodies?
ZF's are expensive to begin with!
No, no mention of cost, I saw it when browsing one day, and thought it was interesting, with some people using ZF transmissions. I know I could never afford one....!
Bill,
You can get a Quaife sequential gearbox for under £10K, but then you'd need to cough up for the bellhousing as well
