I finished all the paperwork today and I have my plates on the car as I write this. I have never been more relieved! It really wasnt all that bad but as anyone who has ever delt with the DMV knows it can all go very wrong at any time. This was like having a baby!! I am on the road legal!! Ya......!

I waited for the officer to go back inside and then I got the hell outa there. For the rest of you, all these other guys in Calif who have heard my car have been waiting to see if I would get it past the CHP. Ya, I know you have, don't lie!! I really like the way it sounds. Maybe I can figure out how to post a wav file. Hummm Gov.Jones, does this mean I can fire the head of the DMV? I'll be back!!

Congrats, are you taking your new baby to Monterey ? Does the NorCal crew have any plans for the weekend. I am going to drive my 40 down Saturday am early ,straight pipes and all.

I will be out of town that weekend. My car is on the road but will be limmited to nearby shakedown runs for a while. It still needs final alinement, the windshield is duct taped on until the paint/bodywork is complete, and I'm still trying to get a feeling for engine temp status, so that would be a couple of hundred mile round trip and I'm not up to that yet. I don't know if the other guys are going or not.

I am going to the "Concorso Italia" Fri. AM and the track that afternoon. Sat. & Sun. I plan to be at the track. Unfortunately the MTBE gremlins have finally eaten up a couple of fuel lines and won't be fixed in time for the drive. I am going to hard line as much as possible and then look into Earl's MTBE proof teflon for the rest. Pebble has such a sorry traffic problem, we will probably skip the event. Checking out the auctions is usually interesting. I will be driving down in the trusty Dodge Dakota on Friday and staying at the Econo Lodge in Monterey on Fri. & Sat. night. Hope to meet some of you at the track.

To the norcal guys,
I have been off the forum for a few months, but have been lurking. I was registered before as Patrick. I have the blue CAV. I will be at the concourso italiano on friday with my Pantera, and at the track saturday and sunday with the Pantera and GT40. Saturday my wife and I will have both cars in the Pantera corral, and sunday we are parking with the Shelby club so we can do the lunch time parade lap. Will I be the only GT40 replica to get on the track on the vintage race weekend? Hope to see you guys there. I will be by my cars both days around 11 a.m
