Rep Power: 6 | Any advice would be welcomed......... Hi Guys, I am new to posting here but have been browsing your excellent forums for a little while now.
Any advice regarding shipping a car from the west coast back to the UK? How much is it likely to cost? Any carriers that you can recommend from experience?
The reason that I ask is that I am interested in the MK111 that is for sale. Ironically, it looks like that car started life in the UK!
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

That way, some people won't waste their time looking at a post that they can't answer, and other people who have potential advice won't skip your post because the title is too vague.
Just today's rant... |

I don't know what your regs are concerning importing cars, but I had to ship mine less motor and trans. You might want to speak with Fran Hall about this car, or I can chat off-forum about it. My e-mail is cscott67@wi.net if you have any other questions, Scott |

You need to MAKE SURE your import agent understands how this works and that the pieces will be brought in as car parts, at least this is how I did mine. CAV does it all the time as does Superformance.

I will do a little more digging and then come back at you with areas that I am unsure about.
Do you guys have any names of shipping companies that I could approach. Please bear in mind that I am a techno-phobe and am far from fully at home with the internet at this time. I will drop you an email soon Scott and look forward to chatting with you. |

Try the search feature, under "shipping and customs", as this topic is an important one,
and has been addressed in the past.
In the two+ years of this forum, practically every question possible, has been asked and answered. The "Search" holds a wealth of information.
