Recaro Seats in your 40

Are there any recaros in any of the 40s out there?

I have yet to even sit in a 40 and get a feel for the manufacturer's grommetted seats so I cannot comment on their comfort level. The Recaros do look extremely interesting and comfortable with all the many adjustment features along with the choices in fabric, colour and styles. A serious sportbike accident has left me with a need for exceptional comfort in all that I park my butt in and rest my back against. I especially like the RECARO Airmatic® system for lumbar support.

It is possible to rig wiring to accommodate the electric recline/height/tilt adjustments for the recaro seats in a CAV or RF?

Re: Recaro Seats in your 40

I had an extra set of MOMOs for my GT40NZ, but found they were too tall and not reclined enough to fit the car.

Luckily, I got a pair of bare seatshells with my kit, so I am planning on having them upholstered in black cloth with the grommets for an authentic look,,,,, but with a three chamber lumbar support in it too.

Lynn Larsen posted a while back on thes Corbeau seats that are meant for small spaces..... search for the post or go to this web site and look at the A4 http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/A4.shtml

Re: Recaro Seats in your 40

There are various other seats you could try as well. SParco and Cobra also have some narrower seats that might be suitable, though many are fixed back, but Sparco now have an adjustable fixed seat frame. Cobra have just released a new erecliner that weighs just 7 Kg, but also haven't updated their website, or seemed to have released the dimensions However, Demon Tweeks sell the seat and should be able to tell you.

Suggest you contact Frank Catt.
He makes great seats with aircushion adjustment in the back and original GT40 look.
