| Re: help with shipping from UK to USA A company we use has just given me a quote of £200 for a 2 day service to California - Door to Door excluding any applicable taxes in USA.
He also said sending 2 together would drop the price by £6 each - so not toomuch saving
He will come back with a consolidator contact number for seafreight tomorrow - estimates £100 for up to 1000kg on 16 day sea trip - up to port - hen it is up to whoever to clear it through customs.
Anyone interested this was through Paul at PRS Express (He is the P in the company name) call 01753 671 900
See what happens with him tomorrow.

| Re: help with shipping from UK to USA Just got the call
Shipping company is Unsworth and they consolidate into containers and ship to all parts of the world and most ports in the USA.
Contact there is Munesh and phone is 0208 539* 8899
Although they are based Essex side of London they have various "drop off" points in the UK
Approx 16 day trip to USA and about £100 for up to 1000kg or 1 cubic meter. This is to port of your choice.
They also can do a quote for clearing and delivery in USA
Hope this helps

| Re: help with shipping from UK to USA Chris,
I use Action-Global Forwarding, Ltd, 017 5386 3222, denny@actionglobal.co.uk to ship from the UK to the US. Knowlegeable, professional, and shipments arrive as scheduled.....in fact, usually much faster than I would have expected. My last 65Kg shipment from the UK took just 4 days to arrive in California.

| Re: help with shipping from UK to USA I feel bad hijacking chris's tread here. Specially since the shipping info he is asking is for me (one of those UN1s is mine).

| Re: help with shipping from UK to USA Hello All
Yes I have heard a load of those before - just wish I could play the flute and then I would not see the price of these as such a big deal.
Another useless fact someone with the same name is on the USA most wanted list - I get grief flying into the country and hit by the secondary interrogation bunch.
By the way I have nothing to do with either of the above links other than the company that I work for that specialises in parts for bulldozers and heavy diesel engines uses them. They are reasonable and fair and I know one is a car nut too!
Anyway today I look at my potential baby - a KVA that's almost complete
More on that later

As the other Ian Anderson once said (the one hopping around with a flute, not America's Most Wanted): "Best of luck in what you find ... "

| Re: help with shipping from UK to USA Hi Chris,
Thanks for all your hard work, I sent you a PM last night.
P.S
My wife says "Rotten" is a perfect name for me. If I get kicked of the Forum, I am coming back as Johhny Rotten |
