I'm still awake, it's 8.30am here. Didn't that yellow GT40 get smashed up at Goodwoog a couple of years ago(along with a few others)? |

| Re: Revival - Crash - Bang - Wallop Hi all -
Tim - GT40s.com at Breakfast! - superb & yes, it is the same car - as trouble usually comes in 3 - I wonder if he is there next year?
It was my first visit to the Revival and I was there for all three days - Just Awesome....
I have over 1000 digital memories of the event so once the next mag/AGM is clear - I might stick the better ones on a CD or DVD if anyone is interested.
Finally - the Bonhams Auction on Friday night saw some amazing sales - including lot 144 - a 7.1 Litre Supercharged Mercedes that made.... well look at the display below.
(ps - I was under instruction to keep Andrew's hands firmly in his pockets!! )
Glad to see you are happy with Roy Smart's chassis repair Simon - Back on road soon I hope. |

Rep Power: 8 | Re: Revival - Crash - Bang - Wallop Paul really good pictures. But I am a bit confused with your captioning. David Pipers Ferrari is a late fifties early 60's Ferrari Tessarossa. And the Lotus looks like a ListerJaguar. I thought the quote about the Lotus 30 was for the Lotus 40. That, "it was the Lotus 30 with ten more mistakes". You must be tired I know I was. Though I did meet Bob Bordurant, Aga Pabst, Carol Shelby and the singer Chris Rea. Sorry to be such a smart alec. My thoughts are with the driver of the Lola in the Glover Trophy who crashed and had to be cut out. There are two lolas in the programe I think this car was Turquorsey Blue. I saw the Yellow GT40 crash with the Braham BT8. I am pleased that no one was hurt. Where did that Corvette Grand Sport appear from it was not named as such in the race program.
Regards Allan |
