Re: What is this

Chris

This looks like a car I saw at Detling in 2003

It is VW based (No nostrils but painted black to "look the part"

There was a wright up on it in the windscreen and it looks from the photos like the same write up was there again.

From memory over 18 months ago VW floorpan and 1600 motor / box.

I think he said home made body - if so not too bad as a "one off"

Ian

Re: What is this

It's a Bonito (VW-based although I've seen them with other engines) - they're apparently big in Holland.

Re: What is this

It looks an awful lot like a Lotus Elan+2 that I owned about 30 years ago, so it can't be all bad!

Re:Speaking of the Bonito

I noticed a FT Bonito for sale on UK eBay and followed the links given for the unoffical site. The pics here show a car that is not bad looking. But the eBay listing says that it looks like a GT40. Wellll, maybe in the vaguest of ways.

Browse pictures here: FT Bonito Album

Regards,
Lynn

Yep, only if you're looking at it from a long long long way away
