Rep Power: 6 | Monocoque available in Sweden Hi all,
Have followed the replica market for 15 years - and guess how surprised i got when I found this company in my own backyard!!! http://www.autoart.net/index.htm
I have visited them and they make the "real thing". Chassie is exact copy of the original made in 3D CAD with all panels lasercut. All castings of uprights, etc is made - look at the pedalbox - beutiful! They machine everything else as well, exact to original specifications. They do not deliver ready to go cars but rolling chassies. It is not cheap but it is damn the best I ever seen. It´s a shame that I cannot afford it for myself |

Rep Power: 29 | Re: Monocoque available in Sweden I, for one, would like to see some photos of the tub. The period drawing is very nice, but good photos just can't be beat when it comes to pumping up someone's pulse rate. The parts that they do show photos of look to be very well done. Kind of a curious mix that is availble though: rear uprights, but no front uprights? I suppose front uprights are infinitely easier to substitute for than the rears, but I wonder what is being used as the substitute for the front? |

Check this post out http://www.gt40s.com/ubbthreads/show...//fpart/1/vc/1
Look down for the posts with the UID= Frank W, he's located in Sweden and maybe he has managed to hook up with someone?

Rep Power: 5 | Re: Monocoque available in Sweden Hello there. I can asure you all gyus that FrankW is not involved in this swedish project. I´am the one who together with Autoart, is making the drawings for al of the panels that are neded to make an as exact copy of a GT 40 as is ever possible. It is not at this moment ment to be a "production" car. But if there is a market for rolling chassies, we are delighted to be delivering for all entusiasts. Best regards Lars Palmkvist |

Rep Power: 5 | Re: Monocoque available in Sweden That´s alright! It is not a correctly chassie! To be honest I do not know where you got the picture from. From what I can see it could be my freinds saphire chassie!? He started this a couple of years back, it is almost finished today, a roof is the only thing that is missing!?
Now, we do have some new parts and panels for a very, very accurate GT40 chassie, it is in progress at the moment. The homepage of autoart is, as we are very aware off out of date in many ways. Photos and a pricelist will be presented in the end of this year. If anybody would like to see some photos I will do al I can to reply thrue my e-mail. Best regards Lars Palmkvist. l.palmkvist@telia.com |
