Rep Power: 5 | GT40 I have been just recently introduced to the GT this past year when I saw it at the auto show and I thought I would find its roots. I have noticed that even back when it came out, and looked much different and still sweet. Which brings me to my real question. I was looking on this forum and finally gave up and decided to come here. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of a GT40 that is a fix-me-up like it is the frame and such. I would buy one but this way I could make it to fit me. Anyway, if anyone knows of any, please let me know. It would finally stop my search. Thanks alot. |

Rep Power: 12 | Re: GT40 Hi Chubby, welcome aboard. I guess you can't have been looking round this forum for too long? There is a link near the top of the screen which has the word 'Search' on it. It does exactly that if you follow the instructions. Alternatively scan through the titles in this area and I'm sure you'll find similar questions with answers already there. I'm sure you'll appreciate your question is not the first to ask where can I find a chassis kit. And if you could use your real name it would get a better response. We like to have people on here, rather than handles. It gives everyone a warmer feeling about who they are talking to. Hope this helps. |

Rep Power: 10 | Re: GT40 Won't be too hard to find manufacturers that will produce a modified chassis to fit in larger individuals.
GT40 Australia are local to me and I know they are more than happy to please when it comes to mods etc. Just the other day Peter(owner) was showing me the Lowered Floor Option - 25mm more heard clearance. And the Super Lowered Floor Option - 50mm more clearance. Also as an option they utilise Tilton Pedal Box which gives 75mm more leg length.
I assume/hope the other manufacturers would be just as accomodating.
It's always much better to get chassis mods done before chassis is painted and fitted to body. |
