Silverstone this Tuesday

Rumour comes to me that the Porsche Club GB have spaces at Silverstone GP circuit this Tuesday ie 23rd November at £170 per car. If so, see you there.

Re: Silverstone this Tuesday

RMA are organising this for the Porsche Club GB so Graham Clarke is the man to contact or Julian Kingston-Smith.

Charles and I are going so any company welcome. Julian just has to check his work diary first.

Bloody hell, that was a good day out! Open pit lane all day, totally dry track from the off and 43 laps in the bag. Now to catch up some sleep.

I'll second that sentiment! What a great day. Silverstone GP is a fantastic circuit - some really exciting high speed corners and plenty of good runoff areas (not that we needed them) so very safe too.

I invited a friend along and he emailed me this morning: "thanks again for yesterdays excitement! Man i love that GT40 "

Looking forward to next season!

Re: Silverstone this Tuesday

Well the three of us managed to get to Silverstone..a little weary as Malc and I decided to change both head gaskets on my 40 as a precaution following sudden overheating at Goodwood. Finished the mechanicals at 3 AM ready to leave for Goodwood at 5.30 AM !! As both have said a great day with very few cars out on track and as much time to play as you could possibly want. There are some end of season bargins to be had in these winter months if your car isn't in the rebuild stages!! Have got to take gearbox out now after it decided to let go on the final laps...but don't think I can face it until after Xmas
