Auto Futura important notice

Dear GT40 fans

Auto Futura CAV GT

A big thank you to all those who have supported us this past year. We are very positive about the CAV GT and the future thereof. As always we are interested in your comments and feedback and look forward to hearing from you in the new year.

2005 is set to be another fantastic year for Auto Futura. By the end of the first quarter, car 100 will be completed and ready for shipping. It will be the first of our new generation of CAV GT’s. This car was ordered by VIP Classics (www.vipclassics.com) and will be their new demonstration car. We will post full details closer to the time.

As always there is some intrigue lurking in the kit car industry! California Advanced Vehicles Inc., (CAV USA), has re-appeared and is marketing a GT40 replica manufactured by Bailey Edwards Cars of Johannesburg, South Africa.

WE ARE IN NO WAY CONNECTED OR ASSOCIATED WITH EITHER COMPANY OR ITS PRODUCTS.

Although CAV (California Advanced Vehicles) USA decided to use the CAV abbreviation they are neither the distributors nor the manufacturers of the CAV GT. This unfortunate similarity in names and trademarks will not deter us with our 2005 marketing campaign for the CAV GT!

If any one would like further information regarding the above please feel free to contact us at any stage at one of the following:

All the best

Guys, you need to post these in the manufacuter's announcements section - that is what you are and posting here is good information but is advertising as well. Good luck to you.

Im my opinion, you folks need to change your name or force the other company to do the same. Here in the US people are not going to be able to keep this straight - original CAV that went under, CAV from Auto Futura, CAV from California/Bailey Edwards - it is too much to ask. Heck, I get confused keeping up with all the CAV goings on and I read the stuff everyday. No doubt a newbie to GT40s won't know which end is up.

Best,
Ron

Ron Is completely correct. Hell, I HAVE one of these cars and I can't keep the CAV saga straight. How about ACV advanced C vehicles. Replace C with whatever your C stands for.

I wish you well. Its just not a good marketing move with all these CAVs. What if one of the other guys does a really bad job of it. Do you want to be named CAV then?

Re: Auto Futura important notice

Let me see if I have it right:
1. CAV that went under
2. CAV (California Advanced Vehicles)
3. 'new' CAV which you are marketing (an improved version of the CAV that went under)

Sorry to say, but it may be best if someone changes their name.
