Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in of--topic, but since the guy owns 4 originals GT40s and 11 Cobras (including one of the 7 Daytona Coupes), there's at least some GT40 connection...
Larry H. Miller, who is probably best known to you as the owner of the Utah Jazz basketball team, is building a new $15 million race track facility in (of all places) Utah. Went to a presentation last night, and it looks like it will be a wonderful place. Will have different configurations: an east course with man-made elevation changes (it's pretty flat out there), a west course that promises to be more technical, or a combined 4.5 mile high-speed track (lomgest in the USA they said) where they expect top speed to hit around 180 MPH. Larry Miller said that he's building this facility so he has a place where he can drive himself silly in his Cobra, so it isn't being built based on purely monetary/business/ROI considerations. He also owns a race track in Colorado and had tried to expand that, but ran into resistance so decided to build one here.
