GT40\'s in Classic Cars (GB)
The April edition of Classic Cars has a feature on the GT40. There are 10 pages plus a page on the Ford GT headed Future Classics. The staff writers get to drive Fords two cars FMC1-Mk.1 and DWC 8G-Mk.3. There are lots of pictures and a nice cutaway drawing and quotes from various driver/ owners. The one I like by John Mayston-Taylor.:-
"I was racing at the Le Mans Classic in 2004, just about sunrise on Sunday morning, going down the Mulsanne Straight at about 180-something and sitting six to eight feet from a Ferrari 512. I was so close I could hear it downshifting into the chicane. I thought I must have died and gone to heaven-if anything went wrong, it didn't matter, I said to myself, "it doesn't get better than this!"
Roll on July!
