I would like to take a moment to thank Howard Jones for taking the time to show me his car and take me on an extended ride yesterday. I had never actually been in one of these cars and had only seen ONE on the road. In an effort to check off the box that says "Can I really live/tollerate a race car on the street?" I put out a call to the GT40 list asking someone for a ride, Howard responded and spent the better part of yesterday evening showing me the ins and outs of ownership (nice craftmanship Howard). In the end I was of the opinion that the car was 'civil enough' for road use and not unreasonably more demanding than my lowered, short sidewall tire NSX - (from a ride quality standpoint).
Upon returning to his house we plopped ourselves down in some lawn chairs and proceded to talk 'story' long into the evening. Time well spent with good company.
