Mirage gt40

I thought you guys might enjoy this. I have a radiology friend that I was eating lunceh with recently and he had seen my CAV. It turns out he owned SN M10001, a Mirage Gulf GT40 and SN 102 in the late seventies and early eighties. Paid 79K for the Mirage ,bought from a guy named Cluxton,sold it for 115k in 84. Also had CSX 2126 289 cobra,several short and long nose ferrari's.

I used to wonder who Harley Cluxton was - running Lemans on his own dime with his own team. Even had the Andretti's as teammates at least one year. If I remember correctly.

I stumbled on his place in Scottsdale one day, they nearly had to escort me out at gunpoint I don't think they appreciated all the drooling. F1 Lotus, two F1 Renault turbo 6 cylinders on display, a Scarab, GT40, various Cobras and some other cars I'm too young to know much about in the 'repair' shop. He has mounted various pieces of bodywork on the walls of some cars he's owned. The "Panasonic" Mirage nose section was one of those pieces.
