Initial GT40 Package Drawing

I have the initial Gt40 package drawing, with the two different design proposals,

1)the first design proposal , side mounted radiators
2) the second proposal, front mounted radiator

This comes from an old design book of mine, but wanted to share this old drawing with fellow enthusiasts, but maybe it's old new for most of you....

Will be using this drawing for a future, fun design project of mine....
Enjoy

Ciao
Italo

p.s. I'm hoping I'm posting in the right part of the forum.

Randy,

These drawings are available in the The Inside Story of the Fastest Fords discussed in the thread Aerodynamic Data for GT40s (detail on the book can be found there.) They are black and white only though.

Mine comes from the Style Auto issue n°20, but i'm sure other books might have them.

Re: Initial GT40 Package Drawing

Italo,

The book is a compilation of the Style Auto issues (20-23) as I understand it.

Regards,
Lynn

Question Re: Initial GT40 Package Drawing

How much front end lift do you think the midship radiator version would have had at, say, a buck-eighty?

I have old Ford literature with drawings of the "cockpit canopy" GT40 that was first proposed, where the entire windscreen/roof/side glass raised on struts for entry.
