Rep Power: 12 | Re: real or near? Interesting. Looks period correct. Oakfields web site has more pictures. No mention of a chassis number. Roundels show #26, but I doubt it is linked to the chassis number, but ya never know.
Someone out there may have some additional information on this car.

| I think P1026 was an Essex Wire car?? that ran with the 4 rear lights but the rear clip is easily changed.

Rep Power: 11 | Re: real or near? I'm pretty sure that is a Sbarro bodied car and possibly a Sbarro chassis finished way after the production run. I believe it is called P1085a, or something "a". Very nice car but more near than real to me. It is in John S. Allen's great picture book "GT40 The Legend Lives On".

Rep Power: 2 | Re: real or near? I think this car is GT40 P/1085 - It seems to be the same car in John S. Allen's great picture book "GT40 The Legend Lives On".
Here some pictures of the same car here in Brasil being tested by Quatro Rodas Clássicos Magazine. It was owned by Alcides Diniz and when he passed away (june 2006) the family sold the car. |
