Rep Power: 1 | GT40 for all out performance? Which GT40 manufacturer is the best for performance?
I do NOT care about historical authenticity or closeness to the original design, but only performance. |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: GT40 for all out performance? John,
There is no way to answer this. Each type of GT40 is designed by the individual to be what it is. the performance has toooooo many variables to decide which is the best(I am not sure that can even be determined). That is like asking which car will take a curve faster. It all depends. Use the search button first and refine your question. Explore the different threads within the forum to find the things you want to know. Once you become a little more informed, you will be able to ask a more specific question(s) which might be able to be answered. Read and enjoy the forum and you will learn a lot.

Rep Power: 37 | Re: GT40 for all out performance? Also what do you mean by performance? Outright speed, acceleration, handling, braking, ride or all of the above. Or do you mean the performance of the Manufacturer selling the Kit?

Rep Power: 1 | Re: GT40 for all out performance? Hey John, all it takes is $$$. I'm having a new Backdraft CAV GT being built . The car should be in sometime in April. I went the Roush 342 R which makes about 460 HP. My friend has an older CAV with that motor set up & it is just awesome with track performanc and great street use also.Like the guys have said if you are going full race U would have the car set up that way. Anyway good luck.

Rep Power: 27 | Re: GT40 for all out performance? lol..FAQ.
Just performance?...ok ask a race car costructor to build a prototype fitting a fiberglass gt40 body (easy to find also used ones for 200 dollars)
dunno if there is an answer for such question.
