Rep Power: 1 | Mystry GT40: Please help identify make Greetings:
I found this GT 40 for sale, looks like most of the car is there, but have not seen the windshield and some of the other glass pieces. Had some interesting comments from the seller, such as they lost the key, has a new ignition, but not hooked up as they are afraid to blow the 10,000 computer (motec?) I thought riiggghhtttt....but who knows as it is an estate sale due to a death.
I could find no identifing marks except some parts came from Canada. What struck me was how light the car seems. Tanks in the side, no side impact protection, I thought that if I flipped it, it would totally collapse and burn. The windshield and fiberglass seemed that flimsy? That being said, lightness = Speed. I am use to moderate speed, as I have a picture of my daily driver attached. As light as the car seemed, it should be very fast if all is in order.
The asking price is 37K. Any advice is appreicated. |

I'm with Ben, an afternoon in that warehouse would be great!

You can't just keep these secrets! I saw you in Amelia Island this week end and you didn't say a word! Pray tell? Where is this? Let's take a ride?

Rep Power: 1 | Re: Mystry GT40: Please help identify make I offered them 20K, but no interest, said 37k. Here are a few more pictures of the Auction House, and an interesting XJ13. They sold the GT40 track car for 40K, you can barely see it in one or the pictures. |

What a great forum, I knew someone would know. The car is there, and I think he threw out a figure of around 150K. Great looking car, I just wish they would get reasonable on the GT40, although it looks to be fairly complete, minus the front windshield and side windows. I have no Idea what the GT40 is worth, and what it would take to complete one. I do know the asking prices are well above 60 for a great one, even some above 100K. All I know is that the GT40 is one of the most beautiful design ever. Period.
Here is the proof of location, and the GT40 track car that sold is in front. |

best of luck
