Rep Power: 1 | GT40 car cover I am looking for a car cover that will not scratch the car. Perhaps there is one that can be used safely while trailering in an open trailer with rock shield. Car is CAV Mark I with wide wheel wells.
Thanks, Tom |

| Re: GT40 car cover Don't cover it when transporting. You can end up having to repaint
it. No matter how taut you make the cover, it bashes hell out of the car.
All of the car transporters I see here have a sort of white cling wrap on the leading edges. |

Rep Power: 11 | Re: GT40 car cover Tom, there is no cover you can use while transporting on an open trailer. My CAV came with a very nice fleece cover for garage use.

| Re: GT40 car cover Tom - Garage is usually a soft fleece type and parking lot a waterproof. Specialised car covers in the UK make really nice ones but I'm sure you can get just as good in the USA. Try the search function as I'm sure we've talked of all this few years back.
There you go - Use Tims advice. |

Ctc Cover Cars in Vareze Italy (you can find them trough Google.
I bought a beautifull one for indoor (They making them for F1 cars) and one for outdoor( waterproof but breathable.
They are specifically made for GT40.
You only need to place the mirror 'sockets' they supply aswel as this is a tailromade part.
If you want I can send some pics.
They are great looking and they send by mail in the world.
Not the cheapest but best in class.

Rep Power: 7 | Re: GT40 car cover As a matter of information, my brother got me a super high-quality car cover from Finish Line for my Cobra. Turns out I already had one for the Cobra, but I didn't have a nice one for the GT40. Much to my delight it literally fit like a glove . . . the cover was loose on the Cobra. See cover pictured on Finish Line's web site: Finish Line Accessories
