Proper seating position

As you can see it's rather difficult to get properly situated in a CAV GT40 - I was wondering if anyone had any hints as to getting the correct seating position?

Also, as you can see it's difficult to achieve comfortable seating on the fender as well...

I really think they would look better sitting on my lap.

although I might add that the extra oil cooler on the back of the blue car does detract from the lines somewhat........
